Pipeline Design and Installation

Pipeline systems for oil and gas industry are of very high importance in complex industrial operations. The purpose of this course is to present and explain the procedure for hydraulic and mechanical design of pipeline systems, with the emphasis on mechanical integrity of piping systems according to ASME B31.3 and other the relevant API standards and codes. The basic elements of pipeline installation and commissioning will be explained, as well as the best practices for maintenance programmes.

The delegates will be introduced to the main points of inspection and testing according to relevant API standards. It is deemed very important for the delegates to have full understanding of the safety aspects of the design and installation by taking into account the material degradation processes, risk analysis of equipment failures and available prevention and technologies.
